Donald Wayne "Beaver" Mitchell

Mr. Donald Wayne "Beaver" Mitchell, age 57, husband of Jackie Blalock Mitchell, of 538 Peach Orchard Rd., Union, passed away Saturday, August 7, 2021.

Mr. Mitchell was born May 12, 1964, in Union, a son of the late Paul Mitchell and Judith Gardin Mitchell.  He was a graduate of Jonesville High School and had owned and operated Beaver's Floor Covering for over 30 years.  Mr. Mitchell had attended Morningside Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife are four daughters, Heidi Mitchell Herring and husband Blake of Spartanburg, Kristin Parkins, Kaitlyn Mitchell, and Brooke Mitchell and son-in-law, Jadon Lankford; seven grandchildren, Kandice Robinson, Kynlee Robinson, Zane Pruitt, Brystle West, Norah Herring, Evan Herring, and Kylila Lankford; a sister, Tangela Brown and husband Stanley of Spartanburg; a brother, P.D. Mitchell; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, August 13, 2021, at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Randy Smith.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
