Donald Lee Bobo

Mr. Donald Lee "Sonny" Bobo, age 84, husband of Patsy Leonhardt Bobo of 300 Stutts Ave., passed away, Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Heartland of Union. Mr. Bobo was born in Union, March 29, 1932 a son of the late Ben Hix Bobo and Pauline McCravey Bobo. He was a retired supervisor with Cone Mill, Carlisle Plant after 40 years and a member of Mon Aetna Baptist Church where he was a member of the Tom Alexander Sunday School Class. Mr. Bobo was a member of the Hejaz Shriners and an avid Gamecock fan. Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Don Bobo and wife Susan of Raleigh; a grandson, Luke Bobo also of Raleigh and a sister, Ola Cabaniss of Union. Mr. Bob was predeceased by four sisters, Kathleen Moore, Faye Fowler, Jenny Heuertz and Rosanell Stalnaker; and by three brothers, Bennie Ray Bobo, Perry H. Bobo and infant William Bobo. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Mon Aetna Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Chris Gulledge and Rev. Benny Green. Burial will be at Union Memorial Gardens. Mr. Bobo's nephews will serve as active pallbearers. Member of the Tom Alexander Sunday School class are ask to serve as the honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:45 PM Tuesday at the church prior to the services. The family will be at the home, 300 Stutts Ave., Union.
