Donald W. Gossett

Mr. Donald William Gossett, age 85, passed away Sunday November 13, 2016 at Ellen Sagar Nursing Home. Mr. Gossett was born in Union, June 28, 1931, a son of the late John Reid Gossett and Lillie Belle Lavender Gossett. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Surviving are several nieces and nephews including, Brenda Foster and husband Allen, Jerry Gossett and wife Kathy and Gwen Ivey all of Union. Mr. Gossett was predeceased by two sisters, Helen G. LeGassey and Blanche G. White and one brother, Lester Ray Gossett, Sr. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Brad Goodale and Mr. Jerry Gossett. Burial will be at Union Memorial Gardens. The following are asked to serve as the honorary escort, Rick Howard, Larry Henderson, Elaine Gault, West Main Community Residents, Staff of Hospice Care of South Carolina, Staff of Ellen Sagar Nursing Home, and the employees of Union Services. Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 3:00 PM at the chapel prior to the services. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 110 Dillon Dr., Spartanburg SC 29307.
