Donald Ray Hedrick

Mr. Donald Ray Hedrick, age 81, of 328 N. 2nd St., Lockhart, partner Mary Lois Parrish, passed away, Thursday, August 6, 2026 at his home.

Mr. Hedrick was born May 31, 1945, in High Point, NC, a son of the late Roy Lewis Hedrick and Ruby Mabe Hedrick. He was a skilled carpenter and worked on a number large projects in his career with last employer being Sammy Whitley Construction of Rockingham, NC. Mr. Hedrick loved to fish, hunt, and work in the garden. His family said that he was really good cook. Mr. Hedrick was also a veteran of the US Army.

Surviving in addition to his partner, Mary Lois Parrish are a stepdaughter, Linda Martin and her husband, Aaron, stepsons, James Boulware and his wife, April Sherbert and Anthony Boulware and his wife, Lisa, a brother-in-law, Linton Locklear and sisters-in-law, Ann Spencer, Patty Todd, and Dotty Locklear. He also leaves behind a grandson, Johnathan Boulware and fourteen other grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren and his beloved dog, Camo. Mr. Hedrick was predeceased by a daughter, Delana Diane Hedrick, brothers David Hedrick, Roy Hedrick Jr., and Jerry Hedrick and brothers-in-law, Clint Locklear, William Locklear and Wilburn Locklear.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at Lockhart Cemetery in Lockhart, SC conduct by Rev. Sam Baine. Mr. Hedrick will also receive Military Honors. Mr. Hedrick’s  will be taken to his home, 328 N. 2nd St., Lockhart, until 1 hour before the service.

Active pallbearers will be Marvin Montgomery, Mike Vanderford, Aaron Martin, Glenn McDaniel, Johnathan Boulware, and Adam Price. Honorary pallbearers are Donnie Price and James Boulware.

The family will receive friends after the services at the cemetery.
