Donald Jenkins

March 22, 2017 Mr. Donald D. "Sid" Jenkins of Union, passed away March 19, 2017 after a brief illness. Donald was born May 29, 1926 in Dowagiac, Michigan, a son of the late Sydney and Jessie John Jenkins. Donald was a World War II Veteran of the US Navy, having served in the Pacific Theatre. He retired from Torrington Co., in 1991 after forty years of service. Surviving are a sister, Mildred Popp of Aurora, OR; a sister-in-law, Sandra Jenkins of St. Joseph, MI; a stepson, Ivan Bradley (Gaile) of Lansing MI; granddaughters: Margaret Souayah of Chicago, IL and Valerie Wallace (Craig) of Bieth, Scotland; grandsons: William and Ronald Bradley of Lansing, MI; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to Donald's parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Larry Jenkins. Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, March 25, 2017 at SR Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Malachi Rodgers. Visitation will be held 1:00-2:00 PM in the chapel prior to the service. Final services and burial will be held in Michigan at a later date.
