Mrs. Donna Lee Crocker, age 79, loving and caring wife of R.J. Crocker, 180 Crocker Campground Rd., Union, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Crocker was born in Clearwater, FL on April 3, 1936 a daughter of the late, Wyllys Ransom and Donna Lobaugh Ransom. She was a graduate of the University of South Carolina Spartanburg where she earned her degree as a registered nurse. Mrs. Crocker was retired as a registered nurse from the South Carolina Department of Corrections and had previously worked as a Nurse and Nursing Supervisor at Wallace Thomson, Springs Memorial Hospital in Lancaster, and Assistant Director of Nursing at Chester Regional Medical Center in Chester and South Carolina DHEC as a Home Health Nurse. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Mrs. Crocker was the glue and peacemaker of her family. Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Catherine Crocker of Union and Cory House of Spartanburg; four sons, Richard R. Crocker of Spartanburg, Douglas Crocker of Roebuck, Christopher Crocker and Richard J. Crocker both of Union; one sister, Posey Harwood of Clearwater, FL; one brother, David Ransom of the Philippines; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Fairview Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. John Honeycutt. Visitation will be held 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM Friday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
