Dontrea Malik Austin

Dontrea Malik Austin, age 14, of 250 Old English Rd., Union, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2022.

Dontrea was born in Union, July 22, 2008, a son of Shaina Nicole Austin and Trenton Zane Ray. He was an 8th grader at Sims Middle School and loved to ride motorcycles, camping, swimming, and playing with his cousins. Dontrea always made people around him laugh.

Surviving in addition to his mother and father are his maternal grandparents who raised him, Paul and Mary Morris of Union; two sisters, Elasha Ray and Alana Ray both of Union; his maternal grandfather, Kenneth Michael Austin of Union; his paternal grandmother, Katrina Ray of Union; his paternal grandfather, Bryson Means of Cowpens; his maternal great-great grandparents, Ralph and Teresa Austin of Union and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 3, 2022 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Damon Duncan. Burial will be at Rosemont Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be David Sinclair, Stevie Sinclair, Junior Sinclair, Joshua Sinclair, Paul Morris, Kenneth Austin, Jase Sinclair and Paul Caldwell.

Staff and students of Sims Middle School and Monarch Elementary School are asked to sit in a group.

The family will be at the home of David and Tracy Sinclair, 130 Poinsett St., Union.
