Dora Raye Wix

December 2, 2015 Mrs. Doris Raye Wix, age 69, of 242 Barnado Rd., Union, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Wix was born in Union, SC on October 17, 1946 a daughter of Wilma Valentine Wix of Union and the late Veston Ray Wix. She was a graduate of Jonesville High School and was retired from Retail and Real Estate Sales. Mrs. Wix was a member of Mt. Joy Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to her mother are a daughter Shana Cousino and husband Mark of Union; a son, Hayward Baber and Special friend Cindy of Union; two grandchildren, Lindsey Cousino and Shelby Cousino; and a special little boy, Andrew. She was predeceased by a brother, Harold Gene Wix. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, December 4, 2015 at Mt. Joy Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Allen West. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held 12:00 until 1:00 PM Friday prior to the services at the church. Memorials may be made to Cancer Research of an individual's choice. The family is at the home 242 Barnado Road, Union, SC 29379.
