Doris Ada Addis Gregg

Mrs. Doris Ada Addis Gregg, age 87, formerly of Jonesville, widow of Frank "Smokey" Gregg, Jr., passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at the home of her daughter.

Mrs. Gregg was born in Union, November 12, 1933, a daughter of the late J.D. and Lois Hawkins Addis. She was a graduate of Jonesville High School and Cecil's Business College. She retired from J.P. Stevens and was formerly employed with Kohler Co., and Milliken and Co., Rosemont Plant. Mrs. Gregg was a member of Jonesville Baptist Church where she had served as Secretary of the Sunday School Dept. for a number of years. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving are her daughter, Leslie Putze and husband Michael of Spartanburg, with whom she made her home; a grandson, David Rogers and wife Maren of Bluffton and a great-grandson, Briggs Rogers. She was predeceased by a sister, Vivian "Sis" Haney and two brothers, J.D. Addis, Jr. and Warren Addis.

The family wishes to express a special Thank You to the staff and nurses of Amedisys Hospice for their care and compassion shown to Mrs. Gregg during her illness.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 19, 2021, at Gilead Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Scott Cannon. Visitation will be held at the graveside immediately following the service.
