Mrs. Doris White Burrell, age 81 of 368 Beltline Rd., Union, widow of Henry David Burrell, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018 at her home. Mrs. Burrell was born in Union, SC April 26, 1937, a daughter of the late Heyward Julian Garner and Lucille Vaughan Garner. She was a graduate of Lockhart High School and a retired textile worker. Mrs. Burrell was a member of Christian Fellowship Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, Steve White and wife Linda of Richland, VA; a sister, Terri Foster of Buffalo; a daughter, Joyce Ivey and husband Rev. Dr. Jim Ivey of Jonesville; a brother-in-law, Clyde Eckle James of Pacolet; twelve grandchildren: Jenna White of Woodbridge, VA, Paul Richard White, Jr, serving in the US Air Force; Gerald Dexter White of Rock Hill, Shawn White and wife Maddie of Richland, VA, Jim Ivey and wife Nicki of Jonesville, Billy Austin of Cowpens, Hannah White of Richland, VA, Mike Robinson of Columbia, Ashley Askew and husband Nathan of Mt. Airy, NC, Thomas White of VA, Heather White of Rutherford, NC and Misty Dawn White of Jonesville. Mrs. Burrell was predeceased by a daughter, Karen Jones, a son, Paul Richard White, a step-daughter, Betty Austin and a step-son, James White. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, November 19, 2018 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Randy Smith and Rev. Dr. Jim Ivey. Visitation will be held immediately following the graveside service. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice. The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to MSA Hospice.
