Doris Haney Dover

Mrs. Doris Haney Dover, age 76 of 629 Rice Avenue Ext., Apt. 1 B, Union, widow of Donald Leon Dover, Sr. passed away December 30, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Dover was born in Union, SC December 27, 1939, a daughter of the late Herman Haney and Sallie Bledsoe Haney. She retired from United Merchants- Buffalo Mills and was of the Baptist Faith. Surviving are two daughters: Phyllis Smith and husband Donnie of Union and Penny Lawson and special friend, Gene Crocker of Sharon; a granddaughter, Shelley Smith of Union; two sisters: Marguerite Herron of Aiken, GA and Diane Panther of Laurens and a brother, Dean Haney of Buffalo. Mrs. Dover was predeceased by a son, Donald Dover, Jr; a sister and three brothers. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, January 3, 2016 at SR Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Johnny Burgess. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Saturday evening in the chapel. The family will be at the home, 629 Rice Avenue Ext, Apt 1 B, Union.
