Dorothy Eaves

September 19, 2016 Mrs. Dorothy Corrie Wix Eaves, age 91, widow of Thomas Arnold Eaves, of 222 South Boyce St., died Sunday, September 18, 2016 at the home of her daughter. Mrs. Eaves was born in Union, SC., April 29, 1925, a daughter of the late Jack Wix and Corrie Brock Wix. She was a member of Tanglewood Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, Gerald Eaves and wife, Tammy of Union; a daughter, Cynthia "Cindy" Denise Hill and husband, Jim of Pickens; a sister, Lidia Campbell of Jonesville; grandchildren, David Eaves and wife, Elizabeth, Shanna Cohen and husband, Jamie, Tonya Brown and husband, Jimmy, Amber Hill and fiancée, Lee Kathey; great-grandchildren, Matthew Cohen, Liliana Cohen, Zayne Brown, Faith Brown, Landon Taylor, Kenley Holden and Stella Kathey. Mrs. Eaves was predeceased in life by eight brothers and six sisters. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Robert Branch and Rev. Gerald Eaves. Burial will follow in Union Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday evening, September 20, 2016 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be made to Tanglewood Baptist Church, 200 Velda Dr., Union, SC 29379.
