Dorothy Grace Fowler

June 13, 2016 Miss Dorothy Grace Fowler of Union, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday June 12, 2016. Dot was a daughter of the late John Herbert Fowler and Molly Brown Fowler. She attended Union Co. Schools and was retired from Milliken and Co. She later managed one of her brother's family businesses. She was a charter member of Covenant Baptist Church where she served on various church committees. Dot had a big heart and shared her love and compassion for everyone. She delightfully shared her gift of cooking and baking with her family and friends. She is survived by two sisters, Marlene Proctor of Union and Mary Kate Bobo and husband Bill of Laurens; a niece, several nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Dot was predeceased by a sister, Ferol Vinson and a brother, James H. "Lefty" Fowler. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Rosemont Cemetery conducted by Rev. Wayne Cooke and Rev. Dale Whelch, her cousin. The following nephews will serve as active pallbearers, Ronnie Vinson, Mark Bobo, Gene Fowler, Don Fowler, Russell Vinson, Patrick Vinson, Will Holmes and Kevin Holmes. Visitation will be held from 12:45 until 1:45 PM Wednesday at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home prior to the services. Memorials may be made to Covenant Baptist Church, P.O. Box 10, Union, SC 29379 or to Rock Springs Baptist Church 1184 Rock Springs Rd., Blacksburg, SC 29702. The family will be at the home, 195 Bethany Church Rd., Union.
