Dorothy Elizabeth Varner Hagan Berry

Mrs. Dorothy Elizabeth Hagan Berry, age 83, of 309 W. Hillcrest Ave., Union passed away Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Mrs. Berry was born in Union, SC November 27, 1932 a daughter of the late Lewis Joseph Varner and Salley Elizabeth Treadway Varner. She was a graduate of Union High School and the University of South Carolina. Mrs. Berry was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church. She was first married to the late John David Hagan, Jr. and then the late Heber Berry. Surviving are one daughter, Lynn Hagan Meador and husband Gene of Summerville, SC; one son, John David Hagan, III of the home; and numerous cherished friends. Graveside services will be held 1:30 PM Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Dr. Don McCutcheon. Visitation will be held 5:30 until 7:30 Tuesday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK, 73123.
