October 27, 2018 Mrs. Dorothy Johnson Holley Weathers, age 92, of 229 Pinegate Dr., Union, widow of Thomas Weathers, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018 at her home after an extended illness. Mrs. Weathers was born in Greenwood, September 16, 1926, a daughter of the late William S. Johnson and Sylvanie Seymour Johnson. She had made Union her home for the past 67 years. She was formerly employed as a bookkeeper with P&C Mechanical and was a member of Unity United Methodist Church. She was first married to the late W. Robert Holley and was the last surviving member of her immediately family. Surviving are a son, Bobby Holley and wife Barbara; two daughters, Gail Adams and husband Marshall and Judy Peahuff all of Union; and eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by special extended family members including a niece, Faye Adams, also Beth Page, Penny Thomas, Mike and Teala Weathers, Cindy and Lorn Wofford and Danny Weathers. Mrs. Weathers was predeceased by a son-in-law, Paul Peahuff. The family would like to express a special thank you to Mrs. Weather's caregivers, Julia Adams, Courtney Jennings and Chaplain Dustin Miller for their care and support during her illness. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, October 29, 2018, at Unity United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Richard Lewis and Rev. James T. Shetley. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the services. Memorials may be made to Unity United Methodist Church, 206 Hart St., Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home, 229 Pinegate Dr., Union.
