Dorris T. Moss

Mrs. Dorris Thomas Moss, age 94, formerly of Westview Dr., Union, widow of Abraham Lincoln Moss passed away, Friday, September 25, 2020 at Heartland of Union.

Mrs. Moss was born in Greer, April 8, 1926, a daughter of the late Edward A. and Ella Gregory Thomas. She was formerly employed with Milliken and Co., Monarch Plant and was a member of Duncan Acres United Methodist Church. Mrs. Moss enjoyed crocheting, fishing and being "Nannie" to her family. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving are a son, Donald Ray Moss and wife Rebecca of Union; three granddaughters, Tracy Owens and husband Jeff of Guyton, GA, Tami Gilbert and husband David of Gray Court, and Tiffany Smith and husband David of Spartanburg; eight great-grandchildren, Brennen Owens and wife Jessica, Zachery Owens and wife Maura, Spencer Owens, Whitney Horton and husband Brady, Austin Gilbert, Devin Gilbert, Erin Gilbert and Savannah Smith; and three great-great grandchildren, Charleston and Brighton Horton and Aristotle Owens. Mrs. Moss was predeceased by seven brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, September 28, 2020 at Duncan Acres United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Merritt Wentz. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Monday at the church prior to the services.

Burial will be at Union Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Moss's great-grandsons will serve as active pallbearers.

The staff and nurses at Heartland of Union are asked to sit in a group to recognize their special care and love shown to Mrs. Moss.

The family will be at the home of her son, Donald Ray and Rebecca Moss, 244 Webber Lake Rd., Union.
