Douglas Macarthur “Mac” Lancaster

Mr. Douglas Macarthur "Mac" Lancaster, age 71, husband of Elizabeth Tucker Lancaster of 1208 Mudbridge Road, Buffalo, passed away Friday, October 17, 2014 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice House. Mr. Lancaster was born in Buffalo, SC on March 11, 1943 a son of the late Barth Lancaster and Maud Jolly Lancaster. He was retired from Timken & Co. and was a member of West Springs Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Amanda Raines and special friend Jamison England of Union; Brian Lancaster and special friend Dena Palmer of Buffalo; four sisters Hazel Howell, Louise Sanders, Faye Culbertson, and Rachel Sumner all of Union; two brothers, John Lancaster of Union and Lewis Lancaster of Buffalo; four grandchildren, Katlyn Lancaster, Ashley Lancaster, Zachary Raines and Tyler Raines. Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, October 19, 2014 at West Springs Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Greg Black. The family will receive friends immediately following the services in the Church Fellowship Hall. Mr. Lancaster's Wal-Mart buddies are asked to sit in a group. Memorials may be made to West Springs Baptist Church, 4811 Buffalo-West Springs Hwy., Pauline, SC 29374. The family is at the home, 1208 Mudbridge Road, Buffalo, SC 29321.
