Edgar F. Rollins, age 75, of Manchester, Maryland, died on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at the Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, Maryland. Born July 28, 1939 in Union, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Arthur H. and Bessie Mae (Pearson) Rollins. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, R. Regina Rollins. Edgar was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Germany. He worked all of his life in the clothing and textile industry, including Westminster Knit. He loved fly fishing, watching sports, and animals. Surviving in addition to his wife are former spouse, Ann Langley Rollins of PA, daughters, Susan Elizabeth (Rollins) Groden and husband Michael of Abbottstown, PA, Mary Katherine Rollins of Gardners, PA, and Kimberly Ann (Rollins) Kamens and husband Adam of Philadelphia, PA; grandchildren, Jake L. Dixon of Greely, CO, Elizabeth A. Groden of Abbottstown, PA, Rachel L. Groden of Abbottstown, PA., and Spencer L. Kamens of Philadelphia, PA; brother, Charles Rollins and wife Barbara of Portland, Oregon; sisters, Christine Edenfield of Winnsboro, S.C., and Jackie Fowler of Union, S.C.; sister-in-law, C. Christine Bixler of Westminster; fishing buddy, Edward "Eddie" Walker of MD. He was predeceased by a brother, Arthur H. Rollins, Jr. and two brothers-in-law, Albert Edenfield and Maxcy Fowler Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, October 6, 2014 at Rosemont Cemetery conducted by Rev. Lynn Ford. Visitation will be held at the graveside immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Humane Society or Animal Rescue of your choice. The family is at the home of his sister, Jackie Fowler, 503 Seigler Rd., Union, SC 29379.
