Edith Mary Jolly

September 2, 2015 Ms. Edith Mary Hughes Jolly, age 76, very devoted to her family, loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, of 191 Toal Rd., Enoree, passed away Monday, September 1, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Ms. Jolly was born in Spartanburg, SC April 24, 1939, a daughter of the late Jim Hughes and Edith C. Hughes. She retired from Conso Products and was a member of Padgett's Creek Baptist Church. She was previously married to the late Harry Ray Jolly. Surviving are a daughter, Joan "Tootie" Pittman and husband Ken of Clinton; a son, Danny Jolly and wife Beth of Union; a beloved grandson, John-Henry Ford Jolly of Union; a devoted companion, Newton "Papa" Cobb of Pacolet; three sisters: Carolyn Hughes of Union, Linda Wardell and Debbie Frey both of Enoree; a twin brother, Cary Hughes of Carlisle and a brother, Gerald Hughes of Georgia. Ms. Jolly was predeceased by sisters, Hazel Hodges, Barbara Hughes and Brenda Moore and a brother, John Hughes. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Friday, September 4, 2015 at Padgett's Creek Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Carrol Caldwell. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be David Lawson, Henry Lawson, Rick Edmonds, Chuck Tankersley, Jonathon Bryson and Marshall Cobb. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday evening at the SR Holcombe Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Padgett's Creek Baptist Church, 843 Old Buncombe Rd., Union, SC 29379. The family is at the home, 191 Toal Rd., Enoree, SC 29335.
