Edna L. Moore

Mrs. Edna Latty Moore, age 89, of 3321 Whitmire Hwy., Union, widow of Jack J. Moore, Sr., of 3321Whitmire Hwy., went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Monday, February 24, 2025 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Moore was born in Hot Springs, NC, June 23, 1935, a daughter of the late Hoyt Allen Latty and Lucille Ledford Latty. She was a member of Covenant Baptist Church and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was devoted to her family and her church.  She spent many hours reading, playing scrabble, cooking, and enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and pets.

Surviving are four daughters, Barbara Mathis and husband Keith of Pacolet, Betty Jean Futch and husband Brian of Buffalo, Patricia Lynn Frey and husband Lynn and Carol L. Engel and husband Mike all of Lakeland, FL; a son, Jack J. Moore and wife Betty Jean of Salem, NJ; fifteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30PM Friday, February 28, 2025 at Rosemont Cemetery conducted by Rev. Larry Padgett. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Friday at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
