Edward Dwight Varner

Mr. Edward Dwight Varner, age 62 of 1450 Meansville Rd., Union, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2020 at his home.

Mr. Varner was born in Union, March 15, 1958, a son of Faye Laxton Varner of Union and the late David Bronson Varner. He attended Union High School and was formerly employed with the S.C. Highway Department. Mr. Varner was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and was very musically inclined. He enjoyed playing the piano and the guitar.

Surviving in addition to his mother are a sister, Cynthia Varner Ellis and partner, Tim Wade of Union; a brother, David Wayne Varner and wife Beverly of Spartanburg; four nephews, Shannon Austin, Travis Austin, Caleb Austin and Gage Martin and his fur babies, Tom and Willie.  Mr. Varner was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Beulah Varner and his paternal grandparents, Clarence and Agnes Laxton.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Rosemont Cemetery conducted by Sam White.

Visitation will immediately follow the services in the cemetery.

The family will be at the home of his sister, Cynthia Ellis, 500 Springdale Dr., Union.
