Ehtel "Judy" Bobo

Mrs. Ethel "Judy" Bobo, age 81, of 101 Sprouse St., Union, widow of Rufus Talmage Bobo, passed away, Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at Heartland of Union.

Mrs. Bobo was born April 19, 1940, in Union, a daughter of the late John Sprouse and Alma Price Sprouse Wix and husband Forest Wix.  She was retired from Conso Manufacturing and United Merchants.  Mrs. Bobo was a member of the Union Salvation Army Church. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving are two daughters, Renee Calhoun and husband John Wayne, Sr. of Union and Gayle Bobo of the home; a son, John Darrell Bobo and wife Marsha of Union; seven grandchildren, Nicole Burgess, Aubrey Godfrey, Julie Gayle Roark, Crystal Lynne "Cricket" Roark, Robert Forrest Bobo, John Calhoun, Jr. and wife Wendy, and Tammie Renae Calhoun; and fifteen grandchildren, Tripp Kirby, Malachi Bobo, Nathaniel Hall, Jaheim Hall, Isaiah Hall, Daniel Wix, Gage Calhoun, Jeremiah "J.J." Bobo, Jamison Hicks, Skylar Hicks, Jesse Godfrey, Michael Burgess, Cody Hixson, and Oren Hixson.  She was predeceased by a son, Mark Talmadge "Timbo" Bobo.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 7, 2021, at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Buddy Hogan.  Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Malachi Bobo, Scott O'Shields, Isaiah Hall, Nathaniel Hall, Ronnie Wade, and Roger Wade.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 PM prior to the services at the funeral home.

The family is at the home of her granddaughter, Crystal "Cricket" Roark, 113 Harris St., Union, SC 29379.
