Elaine H. Kerr

May 12, 2015 Mrs. Grace Elaine Hughes Kerr, age 87, widow of Charles L. Kerr, Jr., of 1510 West Springs Hwy., Jonesville, passed away Monday, May 11, 2015 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Kerr was born in Graniteville, SC, February 3, 1928, a daughter of the late Everett and Grace Eargle Hughes. She was a graduate of Jonesville High School and a member of Jonesville Baptist Church. Mrs. Kerr retired from Her Majesty Manufacturing as a seamstress. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are a daughter, Deborah K. Moore of Greer; two sons, Pat Kerr and wife Barbara and Marty Kerr and wife Deana all of Jonesville; four grandsons, Brent, Steve, and Christopher Kerr and Noel Moore; four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Kerr was predeceased by a son, Lane Kerr, a grandson, Mike Kerr, a granddaughter, Donna Ann Moore, a great-grandson, Andrew Kerr, a sister, Erma H. Littlefield and a brother, James Hughes. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, May 14, 2015, at Jonesville Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Don Moore and Rev. Scott Cannon. Visitation will be held 6:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday evening at the Holcombe's Jonesville Chapel. Memorials may be made to Ellen Sagar Nursing Home, Activities Fund, 1817 Jonesville Hwy., Union, SC 29379. The family will be at home of her son, Pat and Barbara Kerr, 380 Rogerstown Rd., Jonesville.
