Elaine G. Thompson

August 9, 2015 Mrs. Elaine Gallman Thompson, age 63, widow of Carroll W. Thompson, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Thompson was born in Pensacola, FL, October 6, 1951, a daughter of Nancy C. Gallman of Union and the late L.D. Gallman. She was a graduate of the University of South Carolina and Limestone College and was retired from Union Co. Disabilities and Special Needs. Mrs. Thompson was a member of Sardis United Methodist Church. Surviving in addition to her mother are an aunt, Mary F. Prince; a great-aunt, Grace Lowen of Lexington, SC and numerous cousins. Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Monday, August 10, 2015 at Gallman Cemetery conducted by Rev. Jeff Farmer. Visitation will be from 1:30 until 2:30 PM at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home prior to the graveside services. Memorials may be made to Sardis United Methodist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 645, Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home, 796 Lovers Lane Rd., Union.
