Elbert Ezell Phillips, Sr.

May 13, 2015 Mr. Elbert Ezell Phillips, Sr, age 72 of 150 Mandy Lane, Cowpens, SC, passed away Wednesday May 13, 2015 at his home. Mr. Phillips was born in Union, SC October 29, 1942, a son of the late Douglas Ezell Phillips and Annie Belle Phillips. He was a retired textile worker. Surviving are three sons: Elbert Ezell "Sam" Phillips, Jr, Bruce Phillips and Bill Phillips; a daughter, Betty Jo Keith all of Union; two sisters: Patricia Bridges of Gray Court and Louise Lanier of Simpsonville; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and a special friend, Mary Harvey of Cowpens. Mr. Phillips was predeceased by a son, Albert Dean Phillips and two brothers, John Phillips and Robert Lipford. Visitation was held 6:00-8:00 PM Friday evening at the home of his son, Elbert "Sam" Phillips, Jr, 181 Hilltop View, Union.
