Elise Jones Ward

March 31, 2017 Mrs. Elsie Jones Ward, age 98 of Eden Terrace Spartanburg, widow of James "Jim" Ward, passed away Friday, March 31, 2017 at Regional Hospice House. Mrs. Ward was born in Angelo, Montana August 14, 1918 a daughter of the late Charles P. Jones and Hattie Myrtle Jones. She was a graduate of Bird City High School in Kansas and retired as a Loan Officer at Pinellas County Teachers Credit Union. Mrs. Ward was a member of Lee Road United Methodist Church and had previously been a member of Bogansville United Methodist Church where she volunteered as the Church Secretary. Surviving are one niece, Marilyn Taylor and husband Ken of Texas and special friends, Doug Gilliland and wife Lynn of Boiling Springs, SC. She was predeceased by one daughter, Mona Ward. Graveside services will be held 4:00 PM Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Bogansville United Methodist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Doug Gilliland. Visitation will be held after the services. Memorials may be made to a Church of One's Choice.
