Elizabeth Gaile Guinn

April 5, 2016 Mrs. Elizabeth Gaile Guinn, age 77, wife of Lewis D. " L.D." Guinn of 206 Mt. Tabor Church Rd., Union, passed away Monday, April 4, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Guinn was born in Union, SC January 17, 1939, a daughter of the late Leroy Fowler and Sadie Mae Montgomery Fowler. She was a graduate of Lockhart High School and had attended Winthrop College. Mrs. Guinn retired from the S.C. Department of Corrections. She was a member of Philippi Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir and the Joy Club. Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Marianne Lennard and husband Danny of Clover; a son, Doug Guinn and wife Tammy of Pacolet; a sister, Gaye Broome and husband Danny of Boiling Springs; four grandsons: Eric Guinn, Phillip Guinn, Ross Lennard and Ryan Lennard and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Guinn was predeceased by a son, Eric Guinn and a brother, Nelson Fowler. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Philippi Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Brad Goodale. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jim Palmer, Jerry Parks Alvin Justice, Robert Palmer, Jeff Bailey and Chris Abee. Visitation will be 1:30-3:00 PM Wednesday in the church prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Philippi Baptist Church Building Fund, 327 Philippi Church Rd., Union, SC 29379. The family is at the home, 206 Mt. Tabor Church Rd., Union.
