July 29, 2016 Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Stepp Adams, widow of Grey Adams, passed away at her home July 27, 2016. Libby, as she was known by friends and family, was born in Marion, NC December 3, 1927, a daughter of the late John and Florence Pendergrass Stepp. She attended Winthrop College and came to Clemson to work for J.P. Stevens. While in Clemson she met Grey Adams who was an ROTC instructor for the college. After marring, they spent many years in the USAF and traveled extensively. Upon retirement they made their home in Columbia. Libby became involved with Workshop Theater of S.C. and made many lasting friendships. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral and remained active as long as she was able, but never lost her excitement for life. Libby was predeceased by her husband, a son, Steven and two brothers, Dr. James Stepp and Dr. Hubert Stepp. The last member of her immediate family, she is survived by her nephews Jim Stepp of Union, John Stepp of Clemson, Ken Stepp of Kentucky and Ben Stepp of Greer and her many Workshop friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Those wishing to make a gift in memory of Libby are encouraged to donate to the Workshop Theater of S.C.
