October 25, 2019 Miss Ella Faye Gibbs, age 85, of 207 South Boyce St., Union, passed away Friday, October 25, 2019 at her home. Miss Gibbs was born in Union, December 7, 1933, a daughter of the late Luther Norman Gibbs and Bessie Marie Noland Gibbs. She was a graduate of Union High School. Miss Gibbs retired from McClellan's Dime Store. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church where she taught Preschool Sunday School and was a choir member. Surviving are two sisters; Annie Mae Gibbs of the home and Barbara Gibbs Smith and husband Ralph of Buffalo, nieces and nephews; Luther G. Arthur, Robert J. Arthur, Amy A. Kosanovic, Paulette Arthur, Bernice B. Inman, Michael R. Smith and Susie Smith; and numerous great and great - great nieces and nephews. Miss Gibbs was predeceased by three sisters; Betty G. Burgess, Jane G. Arthur and Maria G. Arthur; a niece, Linda Lou Arthur; a great- niece Regina I. England; and a nephew, Jimmy Arthur. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, October 27, 2019 at Tabernacle Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Dr. Tommy Vaughn and Chaplain Martha Toney. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Michael Smith, Phillip Smith, Jeremy Gallman, Torance Inman, Jay Coffer, George Faucette, and James Coffer. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry and Tina Stevens, Donna Lugo and caregivers from Crescent Hospice. Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 3:00 Sunday at the church prior to the services. Memorials may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church, 915 South Pinckney St., Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home, 207 South Boyce St., Union.
