Elsie B. Weathers

Mrs. Elsie Beard Weathers, age 94, of Poinsett St., Union, widow of Jack Weathers, passed away, Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Weathers was born in Spartanburg Co., May 22, 1921, a daughter of Erastus and Fannie Beard. Surviving are daughter Linda Lanier of Union; seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Weather was predeceased by a son, Ronald "Moe" Weather and a daughter, Peggy Farr Gallman; six brothers and four sisters. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, August 7, 2015 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Scott Cobb. The family will receive friends at the graveside following the services. Memorials may be made to Foster's Chapel United Methodist Church, Meal Ministry, P.O. Box 611, Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home of her niece, Cheryl Arthur, 110 Corn St., Union.
