Mrs. Emma Mae Dockery McCoy, age 82, of 201 Spring St., Union, widow of Paul McCoy, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at her home.
Mrs. McCoy was born in Union, September 16, 1941, a daughter of the late Houston and Ruth Knox Dockery. She retired from Conso Products and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Mrs. McCoy was a talented seamstress and enjoyed making clothes for her children and others. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving are two daughters, Kathy Woods and husband Michael of Gaffney, and Janet McCoy of the home; a stepdaughter, Barbie Newton of Union; and a sister-in-law, Virginia Dockery of Union. She is also survived by a grandson, John "Danny" Ratcliff and wife Julie of Union and a great grandchild, Miracle Ratcliff. She was predeceased by a great granddaughter, Caeli Ratcliff, three sisters, Lena Lancaster and husband Buck, Sara Pearson and Marguerite Walton and husband Jackie and a brother, Houston Pete Dockery.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 26, 2024 at Rosemont Cemetery conducted by Rev. Ricky Lancaster. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
The family will be at the home, 201 Spring St., Union.
