Emmett Hudson Braddock

Mr. Emmett Hudson Braddock, age 87, husband of Margaret E. Braddock of Lockhart, went home to be with the Lord, Jesus Christ Friday, January 13, 2017 at Union Medical Center. Mr. Braddock was born November 11, 1929 in Oveida, FL a son of the late Herman Braddock and Mary Betenbaugh Braddock. He was first married to Sue Hagerty of Monroe, NC. Mr. Braddock was retired from Giant Foods in Baltimore, Maryland as a meat cutter. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Braddock was an active and faithful member of Lockhart Baptist Church. He also had a love for cooking for others, fishing and loved all animals. Surviving in addition to his wife Margaret are three daughters, Judy Braddock of Matthews, NC, Katherine Braddock Maring of Mint Hill, NC, and Connie Braddock Frey of Indian Trail, NC; one brother, Herman Wilson of California; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by one brother Jack Braddock. Memorial services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Lockhart First Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Delos Blanton and Rev. Ben Hill. Visitation will be held from 1:45 until 2:45 PM prior at the church. Memorials may be made to Lockhart First Baptist Church, PO Box 190, Lockhart, SC 29364. The family is at the home of his brother-in-law, George Schreiber, 401 Santuc Dr., Union, SC 29379.
