Ernest Eugene "Twig" Adams, Jr.

Mr. Ernest E. “Twig” Adams, age 91, of 820 Browns Creek Church Rd., Union, widower of Joyce Vaughan Adams, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2026, at his home.

Mr. Adams was born November 13, 1934, in Union, a son of the late Ernest Eugene Adams and Ethel Johns Adams. He was a graduate of Union High School and retired as an Elextrolux Sales and Service Repairman. Mr. Adams was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He was a member of Brown’s Creek Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon. Mr. Adams was a Shriner, an avid Gamecock Fan and was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Surviving are two grandsons, Matthew Gregory and Jesse Gregory and wife Meagan all of Union; four great-grandchildren, Gavin Gregory, Maddie Gregory, Ally Gregory, and Judson Gregory; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two daughters, Pamela Adams Gregory and Deanna Adams Greene; a grandson, Ronald Craig, Jr.; two sisters, Maj. Athalee Adams Lomas and Doris Mitchell; and four brothers, Ralph Adams, Roger Adams, Donald Adams, and Rev. William “Bill” Adams.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 15, 2026, at Browns Creek Baptist Church conducted by Rev. John Lee.

Visitation will be immediately following the services at the church.
