Estelle Bullington Chastain

March 31, 2015 Estelle Bullington Chastain, age 82, widow of Arlin J. Chastain went home to be with the Lord on March 31, 2015. A native of Union, she was the daughter of the late Willie Mae Phillips Bullington and Claude H. Bullington, Sr. Mrs. Chastain was a faithful member of Mon-Aetna Baptist Church until her health declined. She was retired from Oakmont Nursing Home. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her God, her church and her family. She loved to share the love of Christ with others. Her mission work was service to others in need. She always had a smile for everyone and had a gift for making others feel special. Surviving are two sons, Wayne Chastain, Michael Chastain and wife Linda of Union, two daughters, Patricia Chastain Culbreth and husband Phillip of Tryon, N.C., and Kathy Chastain Gregory and husband Roger of Union. Also are eight grandchildren, Joey Chastain of Union, Julie Gregory Conard of Union, Christy Hendricks of Hendersonville, Ryan Sumner of Chesnee, Nicole Wall of Landrum, Lee Chastain of Spartanburg, Jennifer Chastain Warchol of Aiken, and Betsy Chastain of Knoxville, TN. Also are ten great-grandchildren, Dalton, Jameson, Tyler, Drew, Jonathan, Olivia, Madyson, Savannah, Lucas and Blake. She is also survived by a "sister" Betty Bullington of Greenville. She was predeceased by one granddaughter, Cynthia Chastain, two brothers, William and "Jr." Bullington, and two sisters Louise Bullington Helms, and Ruth Bullington Toney. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Mon Aetna Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Ron Gaddy and Rev. Brad Goodale. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Dalton Hendricks, Lee Chastain, Jameson Chastain, Ryan Sumner, Jimmy Chastain, and Harold Lawson. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday evening at the SR Holcombe Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Aston Park, 380 Brevard Road, Asheville NC 28806, or Mon Aetna Baptist Church Building Fund, 1431 Lockhart Hwy, Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Kathy and Roger Gregory, 119 Royal Oak Drive, Union.
