Eunice Jean (Varner) Gregory

Mrs. Eunice "Jean" Varner Gregory, 83, of Graham, North Carolina, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2025, at her son's home in Lake Wylie, South Carolina.

Mrs. Gregory was born October 23, 1941, in Buffalo, SC, to the late Walter Glenn Varner and Eunice Pearl Lancaster Varner.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Ray Gregory and her brother, John Varner. She worked as an after-school teacher at different schools around Graham and touched the lives of many kids and parents. She was a wonderfully amazing mother and friend!

She is survived by her sons, Scott Gregory and wife Ginny, Myrtle Beach, SC, and Allan Gregory and wife Kathy, Lake Wylie, SC; her grandchildren, Heather Ashby and husband Matt, Hunter Gregory & Colton Gregory; her great-grandchildren Austin Ashby & Will Ashby; her twin sister, Jane Padgett; and many special nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, September 7, 2025 at 3:00 PM with visitation beginning at 2:00 PM, at Cedar Spring Baptist Church in Spartanburg.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Jean to: Cedar Spring Baptist Church, 140 Cedar Spring Place, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
