Eva Jane Tracy

Mrs. Eva Jane Cabaniss Burgess Tracy, age 91, of Spartanburg, widow of James Thomas "Jim" Tracy, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2023 at White Oak Manor-North Grove.

Mrs. Tracy was born in Union Co., February 23, 1932, a daughter of the late Alvin and Cynthia Quinton Cabaniss. She was a graduate of Lockhart High School and was a retired textile worker. Mrs. Tracy was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Spartanburg and previously attended Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Union. She was first married to the late Willie Norris Burgess.  She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving are a son, Donald Burgess and wife Sharon of Spartanburg and two grandsons, Richard Drake Burgess and wife Heather of Union and James Norris Burgess of Lockhart.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at New Hope Methodist Church Cemetery in Chester.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 12:00 until 1:00 PM at the chapel prior to the services.

Mrs. Tracy's nephews and great-nephews will serve as active pallbearers.

The family will be at their respective homes.
