Faye Louise Fant

Mrs. Faye Louise Boyd "Lou" Fant, age 82, of 206 Bermuda Dr., Union, widow of Iley Watson Fant, passed away Monday, October 18, 2021 at her home.

Mrs. Fant was born in Martinsville, VA, March 14, 1939, a daughter of the late William Isaac Boyd and Gracie Rhodes Boyd. She was retired from the S.C. Department of Corrections and was a member of Crestview Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter Melinda Poole and husband Mike of Union; three sons, Dewayne Kaufholz and wife Darlene, Jerry Kaufholz and wife Susan all of Union and Lane Kaufholz and wife Tammy of Martinsville, VA; a sister, Eva Phelps and husband Melvin of Virginia Beach, VA; two brothers, Doc Boyd and wife Sherri and James Boyd and wife Pam all of Martinsville, VA; eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Mrs. Fant was predeceased by a sister, Mabel Peters and a brother-in-law, Vernon Peters.

The family would like to say a special Thank You to the staff and nurses of Kindred Hospice for their care of Mrs. Fant during her illness.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by her nephews, V.W. Peters and Daniel Peters.                         Entombment will follow at Newberry Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

Active pallbearers will be Brandon Smith, Trey Amick, Mike Poole, Sean Liveright, Jimmy Boyd and Steven Brewington.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 3:00 PM Wednesday at the chapel prior to the services.
