Faye L. Smith Eatonton, Ga

Mrs. Faye Lovings Smith, age 87, widow of Cecil Smith, passed away December 28, 2014 at Coliseum Medical Center, in Macon GA. A lifelong resident of Union, Mrs. Smith was born, January 14, 1927, a daughter of the late Charlie Ross Lovings and Lily Lee Trammell Lovings. She lived on the Whitmire Hwy. until her health failed and she then lived with her daughter in Lancaster. She currently resided with her son in Eatonton, GA. Mrs. Smith worked in textiles in Union County and was educated in the Union schools. She was a lifelong member of Hebron Baptist Church and the last surviving member of eight brothers and sisters. Surviving are a daughter, Barbara S. Spencer of Lancaster; two sons, John T. Smith of Eatonton, GA and Cecil "Butch" Smith of Lugoff; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be held from 1:30 until 3:00 Wednesday prior to the services in the chapel. Burial will be at Rosemont Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Wayne Levister, Kevin Levister, Todd Bennett, Bailey Levister, Dakota Bridges, Keith Durham, Travis Mullis and Trey Levister. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Suite A, Greenville, SC 29615. The family will be at the home of a special daughter-in-law, Linda B. Smith, 129 Hamm St., Union, SC.
