Finley D. Fowler

Mr. Finley D. Fowler, age 86, of Chesnee, SC, husband of Shirley Campbell Fowler, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024 at Upstate Community Hospice.

Mr. Fowler was born June 15, 1937, a son of the late Thoburn Finley Fowler and Ruth Knighten Fowler. He was a graduate of Ashville High School and a veteran of the United States Army.  Mr. Fowler retired from McKee Baking Company, a member of Fingerville Baptist Church. He also helped with Meals on Wheels and Miracle Hill Ministries.

Surviving in addition to his loving wife, Shirley are a daughter, Dana Fowler; two sons: Ricky Fowler and wife Tina, and Scott Fowler; Daughter-in-law, Cheryl Shetley; a brother, Bob Fowler and wife Brenda; a sister JoAnn Holcombe; Grandchildren, Gaige Fowler and wife Bree, Cydni Fowler, Emma Fowler,  Chase Fowler and wife Nikki, Brandy Letson and husband Mark, Tyger Yount and husband Steven, Candi Turner and husband Jim; Great-grandchildren, Ella, Edyn, Ceci, Nolan and Bentley.

He was predeceased by a granddaughter Madden Campbell Letson and two sons, Neil and Roger Shetley.

Services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, March 18, 2024 at the S.R. Holcombe Chapel conducted by the Rev. Lynn Ford and Rev. Andy Case.  Burial with Military Honors will follow at Union Memorial Gardens.

Active Pallbearers will be Mark Letson, Steven Yount, Ronnie Yount, Carroll Hawkins, Gaige Fowler and Sam McCollum.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the services at the chapel.
