Mr. Floyd Ray Lunsford, age 87, husband of Joyce DeHart Lunsford, of 124 Dutchman Creek Rd., Buffalo, passed away, Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Union Medical Center.

Mr. Lunsford was born May 1, 1934 in Fairfield, a son of the late Curtis Franklin Lunsford and Annie Belle Navy Lunsford.  He retired after 38 years from Cone Mill—Carlisle Finishing Plant, where he had served as the Representative for Machine Printers and Engravers Association.  Mr. Lunsford was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Donnie Ray Lunsford and wife Lori of Pauline; a daughter, Emily Lunsford of the home; three grandsons, Cameron (Tank) Lunsford, Wyatt Lunsford, and Nicholas Lunsford all of Pauline; two sisters, Bertha Lawson and Edith Lawson and husband Wayne of Pauline; a sister-in-law, Frances Hall and husband Maston of Union; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by two brothers, Dallas Lunsford and Paul Lunsford; two sisters, Frances Williams and Gladys Lawson.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 PM Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Melvin Shelton and Rev. Guy Langston.  Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be held prior to the services at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church from 1:30pm until 2:30pm.

Active pallbearers will be Hutch Hall, Gerald Lawson, Phillip Lawson, David Crisp, Cameron Lunsford, and Wyatt Lunsford.  The following are asked to sit in a group and form the honorary escort, Betsy Krena, Jean Millwood, Mary Ann Harris, Logan Vanderford, Donna Lugo, Amanda Weaver, Nancy Hill, and the nurses and staff of Kindred Home Health and Agape Hospice.

Memorials may be made to Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, C/O Homebound Committee, 2153 Mt. Lebanon Rd., Buffalo, SC 29353.
