February 9, 2016 Mrs. Frances Tucker Addison, age 92, of 421 Peach Orchard Rd., Union, widow of John G. Addison, Sr. passed away Monday, February 8, 2016. Mrs. Addison was born in Union, SC on October 9, 1923 the daughter of the late Barksdale Tucker and Lillian Shirley Tucker. She was a graduate of Union High School and a Charter Member of Morningside Baptist Church. Mrs. Addison was the last surviving member of her immediate family and was predeceased by two sisters, Marie Kyzer and Vera Berry. Surviving are a daughter Janice A. Wilson of Lexington, SC; a daughter-in-law, Janet Keasler Addison of Union; a son-in-law, Rev. Randall S. Derrick of Little Mountain, SC; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and special nieces, Carrie Davis, Shirley Berry, and Carolyn Stepp. She was predeceased by three children, Frances Dale Nelson, John G. Addison, Jr., and Kathy A. Derrick. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Morningside Baptist Church conducted by the Dr. Aulbrey Calvert and Rev. Randall S. Derrick. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Greg Addison, Gene Berry, Don Kyzer, William Earl Sprouse, Gene Adams, and Wayne LaBounty. Visitation will be held 1:00 until 2:00 pm Thursday afternoon prior to the service at the Church. The family would like to thank Caris Hospice, Dr. Balogun, Kelsey Stinson, Tina Johnson, Denisa Duncan, and all of Mrs. Addison's Church Family. Memorials may be made to Morningside Baptist Church Building Fund, 112 Bates Ave., Union, SC 29379 or to a charity of one's choice.
