Mrs. Frances Thomas Biggerstaff, age 94, of Union, widow of Rev. John A. Biggerstaff, Sr., passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025.
Mrs. Biggerstaff was born April 10, 1930, in Greenville, SC, a daughter of the late William Ray Thomas and Mary Pope Thomas. She worked in textiles, at Lockhart, Ottaray, Excelsior, and Midway Mills, of the Milliken Company before they closed. Mrs. Biggerstaff was a member of Mon Aetna Baptist Church, where she was very active in the Deaf Ministry.
Surviving are a daughter, Evelyn B. King of Laurens; six grandchildren, Tripp Duncan (Mica), Brandy Duncan, William Biggerstaff, Daniel Biggerstaff (Jay), Jeremy Lankford, Jessia Hill (Chris); eleven great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Biggerstaff was predeceased by two sons, Johnny Biggerstaff and Ray Biggerstaff.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at Mon Aetna Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Tom Tucker and Rev. Benny Green. The burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Tripp Duncan, Daniel Biggerstaff, Jeremy Lankford, Chris Hall, Gage Biggerstaff and Tanner Duncan.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the service at the church.
The family is at their respective homes.
