October 13, 2016 Mrs. Frances Bishop Adams, age 85 of 104 North 5th Street, Lockhart, widow of Julius Fowler Adams, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Adams was born in Union, SC, October 15, 1930, a daughter of the late Charlie Bishop and Nellie Childers Bishop. She was a graduate of Lockhart High School and retired from Conso Products. Mrs. Adams was a faithful member of Lockhart Church of God where she served as a Sunday School Teacher. Surviving are a daughter, Amy Wood and fiancé Daniel Ritchie of Chesnee; grandchildren: Amber Wood of the home and Joshua Wood of Lockhart; a great-grandchild, Harper Wood of Lockhart and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Adams was predeceased by two brothers, J.F. Bishop and Ernest Bishop. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Lockhart Church of God conducted by Rev. Allen McKee and Rev. Russell Miles. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Jackie Gaston, Brian Gaston, Tim Turner, Zackery Turner, Travis Bishop and Jeffery Queen. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Friday evening at the SR Holcombe Funeral Home.
