Francis C. "Ricky" Sprouse

Francis “Ricky” Carlye Sprouse Jr. passed away May 14th 2026 at the age of 71. Ricky was born June 8th, 1954, in Baltimore, MD to Francis Sprouse Sr. and the late Lena Sprouse. Mr. Sprouse worked as an Electrician for 50+ years and was employed by Harris Electrical, he enjoyed playing his guitar, fishing and had a green thumb.

Surviving is a son Elton Sprouse and wife Valerie Stephens Sprouse of Fountain Inn, and a daughter Mia Smith and husband Joseph Smith of Cross Anchor; one granddaughter, Natalie Sprouse of Cross Anchor; one sister, Deborah Brown and husband Wayne Brown of Gaffney; one sister-in-law, Beth Sprouse of Union; one aunt, Joann Lawson of Union, cousins, Darrell Lawson, David Lawson, Toni Hopper and Maxi Ray Ponder; a niece, Kacie Brown and three nephews, Wayne Brown Jr, Eric Sprouse and Justin Sprouse.

He was predeceased by mother, Lena Faye Sprouse, a brother, Phillip Henry Sprouse, aunts, Billijean Alverson, Francis Tucker and Mabel Tucker, and uncles Henry Earl Sprouse and Harold Dean Sprouse.

Memorial services will be held at 5pm, Friday May 22nd at S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel, 310 W. South St., Union, conducted by Preacher Ricky Cook.
