Francis Coot Carter

Mr. Francis Coot Carter, husband of Linda Carter of 2318 Whitmire Hwy, Union, passed away, December 24,2024, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Carter was born in Union, July 11, 1947, the son of the late Harold Carter and Millie Turner Carter. He was a graduate of Union High School and had worked at Timken Bearings and owned his own business, Carter's Small Engine Shop. Mr. Carter was a member of Brown's Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Linda, are sisters, Margie Cannon of Union and Mary "Sister" Upton and her husband Carol of Buffalo. Mr. Carter is also survived by a brother Harold Dean Carter of Union. He was an awesome uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Theron Carter and Bobby Wayne Carter and a sister, Ruth Robinson.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Friday, December 27,2024, at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel, Union, conducted by Rev. Robert Scott.  Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Ronnie Eaves, Jack Burnett, Jerry Plemmons, Danny Carter, Jason Upton and Cody Manesco. Honorary pallbearers are Randall Boulware, Lance Delaney, Steve Bradburn, David Erwin and Robin Cannon.

Visitation will be from 12 Noon until 1:00 PM prior to the funeral services at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel.
