Francis E. Vaughan

Mr. Francis Earl "Buddy" Vaughan, age 74, of Rogerstown Rd., Jonesville, SC, widower of Malinda Kay Gowan Vaughan passed away Friday, September 27, 2019. Mr. Vaughan was born in Union, April 7, 1945, a son of the late John Earl Vaughan and Ernestine McBride Vaughan. He was retired from the textile industry and was a member of Jonesville Baptist Church. Mr. Vaughan was also a member of the Prudence Masonic Lodge #139 of Jonesville. Surviving are a daughter, Angela Knighton and husband Dwain of Gaffney; a sister, Karen Whitehead and husband Charles of Union; a sister-in-law, Gay Vaughan of Myrtle Beach; a brother-in-law, Dean Alexander of Waco, TX; three grandchildren, Randy Dale Harmon, Jr. and wife Tracy, Shannon Byars and husband Matthew, and Malinda "Mindy" Lamb and husband Jeff; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Vaughan was predeceased by a sister, Vicki Alexander and a brother, Stanley Vaughan. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at the Holcombe's Jonesville Chapel conducted by Rev. Jonathan Vaughan. Burial with Masonic Rites will be at Jonesville Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Carlton Suttles, Pat Kerr, Harold Gault, Jeff Lamb, Randy D. Harmon, Jr. and Steve Beheler. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the chapel prior to the services. Memorials may be made to Providence Care Hospice, 1736 Old York Rd., York SC 29745. The family will be at their respective homes.
