Fred J. Kirby, Jr.

Mr. Fred James Kirby, Jr. age 79, of 109 Deerfield Dr., Union, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2024 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Mr. Kirby was born in Union, February 4, 1944, a son of the late Fred James Kirby, Sr. and Beatrice Coleman Kirby. He was a retired supervisor with Cone Mill, Carlisle Finishing and was a veteran of the US Army.

Surviving are a son, Robin Kirby and wife Kristen of Lexington; a daughter, Sherri Kirby of the home and two grandchildren, Aubrie Therrell and Jordan Kirby. He is also survived by a special friend, Dale Cabaniss and special aunts and cousins.

A gathering to celebrate his life will be held from 2:00 until 4:00 PM Thursday, February 1, 2024 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
