Gary F. Deal

December 24, 2018 Mr. Gary Franklin Deal, age 72, husband of Sue Black Deal of 115 S. Main St., Lockhart, passed away, Sunday, December 23, 2018 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Mr. Deal was born in Union, May 20, 1946, a son of the late Jesse and Barbara Messer Deal. He was graduate of Lockhart High School and retired from Timken of Union. Mr. Deal was a member of the Lockhart Masonic Lodge and was a Shriner. He was also a member of Lockhart Free Will Baptist Church. Surviving in addition his wife are a daughter, Renee Deal Russell and husband Phillip of Union; a sister, Lynn Deal Pharr and husband John of Chester; two granddaughters, Megan Russell of Union and Addison Turner of Lockhart; three grandsons, Jeffrey Turner, Brandon Turner and Bentley Turner all of Lockhart. Mr. Deal was predeceased by a sister Carol Sealy and a brother-in-law James Sealy. Deal Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Lockhart Free Will Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Sam Baine. Burial with Masonic Rites will be at Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Hancock, Ronnie Thomason, Doug Thomas, Eddie Thomas, Cricket Vanderford, Jeff McNeace, Bobby Harris, Mike Vanderford, George Queen, Doug Blackston and Scott Thomas. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:30 PM Wednesday at the church prior to the services 3:00PM. Memorials may be made to Lockhart Free Will Baptist Church, 126 Askew Circle, Union, SC 29379 or to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Dr., Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family will be at the home, 115 S. Main St., Lockhart.
