Gay T. Logan

May 7, 2016 Mrs. Gay Tippen Logan, age 82, wife of Gene E. Logan of 513 Peach Orchard Rd., Union, passed away peacefully, Friday, May 6, 2016 at Union Medical Center. Mrs. Logan was born in Cleveland, OH, May 25, 1933, a daughter of the late Robert S. Tippen and Jolantha Patechell Tippen. She was formerly employed with the Union Co. School System and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to her husband of 64 years, are a son, Jeff A. Logan and wife Susan Edwards Logan of Prosperity; two daughters, Bonnie L. Will and husband Denny and Tracy L. Chisholm all of Greer; a daughter-in-law, Jean Logan Jones of Columbia; five grandchildren, Philip Carter, Wells Logan, Kate Logan, Reggie Duncan and Tray Duncan and wife Kerri; and three great-grandchildren, Hannah Logan, Jake Duncan, and Bella Duncan. Mrs. Logan was predeceased by a son, Todd E. Logan, a sister, Joy T. Hinds and a nephew, Bobby Hinds. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
