Gem D. Mccutcheon

April 5, 2015 Mr. Gem Donald McCutcheon, age 85, husband of Louise McCloud McCutcheon of 4907 Jonesville-Lockhart Hwy., Union, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2015, at his home. Mr. McCutcheon was born in Lockhart, July 2, 1929, a son of the late H.P. and Mamie Rogers McCutcheon. He was a 1946 graduate of Lockhart High School and the retired owner of McCutcheon Grocery and McCutcheon Café in Lockhart. Mr. McCutcheon was a member of Lockhart First Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Rev. Don McCutcheon, Sr. of Lockhart; a special daughter, Penny L. McCutcheon of Union; a brother, Preston McCutcheon of Union; a sister, Joye M. Jones of Gainesville, GA; four grandsons, Don McCutcheon, Jr. and wife Kimberly, Randy McCutcheon, Gem McCutcheon, and Corey McCutcheon and three great-grandchildren, Lucas and Peter McCutcheon and Karlie McCutcheon. Mr. McCutcheon was predeceased by a son Randall E. McCutcheon. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Lockhart First Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Delos Blanton and Rev. Ben Hill. Burial will be at Union Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Mr. McCutcheon's grandsons and great-grandsons. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Youth and Children's Ministry, P.O. Box 190, Lockhart, SC 29364. The family will be at the home, 4907 Jonesville-Lockhart Hwy., Union.
